Green leafy vegetables are the main vegetable varieties in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the Yangtze River Delta in China, with a large planting area. However, the variety of such vegetables, agronomic clutter, planting patterns vary greatly, resulting in the whole mechanization of supporting difficult.
The biomass team innovatively proposed a fixed-lane standardized planting model and full-process mechanization solutions that integrate mechanical technology, which were promoted and applied in Jiangsu, Shanghai, Beijing, Sichuan and other places. This Taicang green leafy vegetables mechanization demonstrated the total number of links such as tillage, planting, plant protection, harvesting and tail vegetable treatment.18Taiwan (sets) of machines and tools, basically covering all aspects of green leafy vegetable production.
At the demonstration meeting, the biomass team and the fixed track rotary tillage ridging machine developed by Shanghai Dahui Company received extensive attention from the participants.
The biomass team and the fruit and vegetable tea team carried out research on the whole process mechanization technology of cabbage from harvest to transplanting in view of the main problem that agricultural machinery and agronomy do not match in the light and simplified production of cabbage vegetables.
According to the growth characteristics of cabbage in Changshu area, the biomass team proposed a single-ridge single-row and single-ridge wide double-row planting mode, and developed a single-ridge single-row and single-ridge double-row rotary tillage ridging and transplanting compound machine for cabbage vegetables, which can complete rotary tillage, ridging, pipe laying and transplanting in one operation.4The fruit and vegetable tea team has developed a self-propelled cabbage double-row harvester and a single-row harvester for this model.

Zhu Weimin, chief expert of Shanghai green leafy vegetable system, Wang Weiming, chief expert of Jiangsu vegetable system, and Cai Guofang, researcher of Jiangsu agricultural machinery development and application center, respectively introduced the exploration and practice of Shanghai leafy vegetable mechanization, the current situation of vegetable industry in Jiangsu Province and the application of vegetable mechanization production in Jiangsu Province.
