In order to scientifically study and judge the situation of agricultural mechanization production, the Department of Agricultural Mechanization Management, together with the General Agricultural Mechanization Station, conducted an electronic questionnaire survey on the price and cost change trend of agricultural machinery operation services during the "three summers" in 2023. The relevant information is as follows.
1. survey sample distribution
This survey takes the form of online questionnaire, and a total of 600 agricultural machinery social service organizations in 8 major wheat-producing provinces were received. The specific sample distribution is shown in the following table.

(I) wheat machine harvesting operation price
The price of wheat harvesting operations is expected to be 65 yuan/mu, an increase of 5 yuan from last year, an increase of 8.3 year-on-year.
(II) machinery planting operation price
It is estimated that the price of corn and soybean machine sowing is 50 yuan/mu, up 10 yuan from last year, with a year-on-year increase of 25%; the price of high-performance corn planter is 60 yuan/mu, which is about 10 yuan higher than that of ordinary corn machine sowing.

From the survey, the main factors affecting the price of agricultural machinery during the "three summers" period were changes in fuel costs and labor costs, involving 544 and 472 samples, accounting for 90.7 per cent and 78.7 per cent of the total number of samples, followed by changes in the purchase and maintenance costs of machines and tools, involving 410 samples, accounting for 68.3 per cent of the total number of samples; the number of machines and tools, supply and demand information docking and other factors have little impact on the price of job services.
(I) fuel consumption
It is estimated that the fuel consumption of wheat machine harvesting during the "three summers" period is 3 L/mu, that of corn and soybean machine sowing is 3 L/mu, and that of rice machine transplanting is 2 L/mu.
(II) fuel prices
It is estimated that the price of diesel oil during the "three summers" period will be 7.4 yuan/liter, down 7.5 from the same period last year. Taking Hubei Province, which has the largest number of samples in this survey, as an example, the price of 0# diesel in Hubei Province on May 13, 2023 was 7.4 yuan/liter, down 9.1 percent from the same period in 2022, but still 17.6 percent higher than the same period in 2021.
(III) the cost of hiring a pilot
The number of samples expecting an increase in the cost of hiring machine workers is 83.7 per cent of the total sample. After the end of the epidemic, labor mobility increased, the operator can choose more ways to work, the number of operators is insufficient, the operation of more skilled operators in short supply. According to the survey, the lack of operators with a high level of mechanized operations and the continuous increase in labor costs are the main reasons for the increase in the cost of employees, involving 443 and 507 samples, accounting for 73.8 per cent and 84.5 per cent of the total sample.
(IV) spare parts supply
The number of samples in which the purchase price of agricultural machinery spare parts is expected to increase accounts for 77.5 per cent of the total number of samples. The increase in raw material prices and logistics costs of spare parts was the main reason for the increase in the purchase price of agricultural machinery spare parts, involving 423 and 268 samples, respectively, accounting for 70.5 per cent and 44.7 per cent of the total number of samples.
4. cross-zone operation
According to the survey, 259 samples made it clear that they were ready to carry out cross-regional operations, accounting for 43.2 per cent of the total number of samples; 215 samples made it clear that they would not carry out cross-regional operations, accounting for 35.8 per cent of the total number of samples; and 126 samples indicated that they were not sure whether to participate in cross-regional operations.
5. problems and suggestions
Judging from the survey, the main problem faced during the "three summers" period was weather changes, involving 206 samples, accounting for 34.3 per cent of the total number of survey samples, followed by higher fuel prices, involving 175 samples, accounting for 29.2 per cent of the total number of survey samples. The lack of competent operators (drivers) and other issues did not exceed 20% of the total number of samples; only 2 samples reflected the shortage of spare parts supply.
The main suggestions of agricultural machinery socialization service organizations in various regions: 65 samples suggested "increasing fuel subsidies or reducing fuel prices"; 46 samples suggested "strengthening the training of operators"; 37 samples suggested "increasing subsidies for agricultural machinery operations or increasing operating prices"; 27 samples suggested "providing an operation information sharing platform or doing a good job in information docking services"; 26 samples suggested "strengthening safety supervision and training, guide safe operation and production".
